Our partners Prof. Peter Sachsenmeier, Marquesa Van Leung and Dr. Jochen Biedermann took part at the 3rd Chinese-German Forum at Tongji University, Shanghai.
The forum was organized by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Shanghai, in cooperation with Tongji-University, the Center for Global Studies (CGS) of the University of Bonn and the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA).
In the course of the third German-Chinese government consultations in October 2014, both nations have agreed upon a framework to further enhance the German-Chinese cooperation. The basis for the framework had been set during Chinese President Xi Jinpings visit to Germany in March 2014. A further important impulse for extended cooperation shall be the „German-Chinese year of cooperation in innovation 2015“.
Based on this background the topic of the third Chinese-German Forum was “Innovation in Germany and China in the time of digitalization: Experiences and Cooperation”.
In his presentation, Prof. Sachsenmeier analyzed the connections between cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT).
